Drawful 2

Drawful was part of the first Jackbox Party Pack. It had a charming and appropriate doodle aesthetic, catchy music, and goofy albeit cacophonic sound effects. It could also be uproariously funny, as the intentionally weak drawing tools and mixture of straightforward and unusual text prompts meant there was very little correlation between artistic talent and illustration clarity. It was brought down only by its mildly shallow pool of text prompts and the inevitable technical issues of all Jackbox games. Drawful 2 is…that exact same description, except with new prompts, a couple of minor additions that barely matter, and a standalone price tag. The result forms a rift in my mind between the part that instinctively derides expansion pack sequels and the part that enjoys Drawful and its expansion pack sequel.
